Palau offers an incredibly high diversity of marine species and its pristine marine habitats support some of the world’s richest populations of corals, fish and other invertebrates.

In February 1944, the United States launched Operation Hailstorm against a Japanese fleet which resulted in over 40 ships lost in Truk Lagoon.

To say these are 2 of the best dives areas in the world is an understatement.   We will start with a week at the Palau Royal and dive with Sam’s Tours for 5 days of dives including Blue Corner, Jellyfish Lake, Chandelier Cave, German Cut plus 2 dives at Peleliu plus the land tour.

After an overnight on Guam, we board the “Odyssey” for a week long live-aboard exploring the shipwrecks of Truk Lagoon.

Many dives in Palau are famous for currents which bring all sorts of critters in and out with the tides.  Reef hooks were invented so we can settle in and watch all the life swim by.  A large stainless steel hook has a rope and clip, Attach it to a bare rock, clip it to your BCD, inflate a little and watch the parade!!
