My diving career began in 1962 so I have been involved with scuba diving and teaching for almost 60 years. My philosophy is that all students can learn to dive if given the right environment and a patient, competent instructor. As a result I keep all my classes small so you get the individual attention you deserve. This allows you plenty of time to practice the necessary skills and get comfortable underwater. I want your first open water experience to be low on stress and full of fun. I firmly believe in the motto “Dive Safety Through Education”. I hold a Masters Degree in Education and instructor designations through both PADI and NAUI and am also a Course Director with NAUI. In 2018 I received the Outstanding Service Award for scuba diving. Before moving to Evanston, Wyoming I was the Director of Scuba at The University of Texas and now oversee the scuba program in Evanston through the Evanston Parks and Recreation District. Even after all these years I can still say seeing new students become certified scuba divers is still rewarding.
