Join Dive Utah for a week in the Bahamas on the live-aboard catamaran Aqua Cat.  We’ll explore the remote islands of the Exumas and especially the Exuma Cays Land and Sea Park, the most pristine area in all the Bahamas.  Most cruises include a shark feeding dive where you can get up close and personal with several different species of shark.  Photographers will find the under water life in the Exumas to be some of the prolific and varied of any coral reef in the world.  Great sites like Dog Rocks Wall and the wreck of the Austin Smith have great bottom topography and attract all sorts of like.  Don’t forget the Washing Machine-twice a day the currents rip past Shroud Cay.  They drop you upstream and you drift down to where 2 currents meet underwater, the result is 30 seconds of twisting and tumbling as you are washed, rinsed and left out to dry!!!

With three decks, 11 cabins, a large salon area and private baths and showers, the Aqua Cat is the ultimate in luxury liveaboards. Custom built for diving, the Aqua Cat is a Dive Utah favorite.  From large cabins, to the huge dive deck, you might be on a boat but you have plenty of room.  As a catamaran, (Aqua CAT-get it?) this boat is super stable and can always find a leeward side of an island to get out of rough water.  Underrated are the showers on the dive deck-a hot fresh water shower after your dive and and you are rinsed and ready to go back to your cabin, lay out, have a drink or eat (again…)  Culinary highlights include contemporary and Bahamian specialties, seafood and fresh fruits and wine service with evening meals.

Our Bahamas trip is the perfect opportunity to complete your  Night, Deep, Underwater Photography or Nitrox certifications, all of which can count toward your Master Scuba Diver rating.

Sharks, grouper, painted walls, blue holes and more!  Beautiful cabins with private bath.  Four to five dives per day, snorkeling, sea kayaking, fishing, sunning, and snoozing. There are also daily beach excursions if you need to feel the sand between your toes!!  Visits to the lizards on Allen’s Cay , the swimming pigs on Pig Beach or snorkeling through Thunderball Grotto (from James Bond-Thunderball) are just some of the non-diving activities you can choose.  Also don’t forget to ask the crew to rig up the rope swing off the back of the boat!!

$3295* includes 8 days and 7 nights on the Aqua Cat with all meals, lodging and diving.  Price does not include airfare, tips and port tax/ park fees/fuel surcharge of $345.
